OUR MISSION
At the heart of all we do is the Holy Mass, for the Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life.
The mission of the Office of Religious Education is to lead children, young people, and families into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, to nurture a lifelong love and understanding of the Catholic faith, and to build a faith-filled community rooted in prayer, the Sacraments, service, and fellowship.
Through formation and shared experiences of faith, we seek to help each person recognize their place in the life of the Church and grow as a disciple of Christ — called to know Him, love Him, and serve Him.
EXPLORE OUR PROGRAMS
We offer a variety of faith formation opportunities for children and young people, from preschool through high school. Through Religious Education, sacramental preparation, youth ministries, and seasonal programs, we invite young people to grow in faith, build friendships, and deepen their relationship with Christ.
First Communion Formation
Grades 1–2
Mondays 4:00pm-5:00pm
A two-year faith formation journey that introduces children to the foundations of our Catholic faith and prepares them to receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.
Faith Builders
Grades 3–12
Sundays 5:30pm-7:15pm (twice a month)
An engaging, age-appropriate program that encourages students to deepen their Catholic faith, strengthen their relationship with Jesus Christ, and put their faith into action through prayer, learning, and service.
Confirmation Preparation
Grades 7–12
Sundays 5:30 PM–7:15 PM (twice a month)
Offered as part of our Faith Builders program, Confirmation Preparation guides students as they deepen their relationship with Christ and prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation through prayer, faith formation, and service.
CGS Faith Enrichment
Pre-K–Grade 6
Wednesdays 4:00pm-5:00pm
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a hands-on Catholic faith enrichment experience that invites children to encounter Jesus through Scripture, Liturgy, and prayer in a peaceful, specially prepared environment called the Atrium.
